Hot Springs Lakeside senior Ajalen Holley's senior season didn't end the way he would have liked.
The Rams dropped a 45-21 quarterfinal loss to Southwest 5A Champ White Hall last Friday night finishing the season with a 10-2 mark.
Holley (5'11 180 4.5) blistered opposing defense's in 2011 in a variety of ways and turned around on the defensive side of the ball and played just as well from his safety position.
In a first round playoff game against Alma, the speedster tallied 437 total yards and scored five touchdowns. 241 of those yards came on the ground.
Here is quick breakdown of his performance.
Rushing - 18 - 241 4 td
Passing - 3/3 61 yards
Receiving - 2 - 31
Punt Return - 1 - 8
Kick Return - 2 - 96 1 td
He threw in 3 tackles on defense as well for good measure.
Holley is a threat to score anywhere you line him up on the field and that includes the safety position he occupied on defense. With 41 tackles and 3 interceptions Ajalen has a similar build to graduating senior safety Darius Prelow.
Ajalen went over 2,000 yards of total offense, 2167 to be exact and again he did it in a variety of ways.
123 carries for 1,037 yards and 20 touchdowns. That's almost a first down every time he carried the ball(8.4 Ypc).
38 receptions for 472 yards and 6 scores, a 12.4 per catch average.
With defense's so worried about him as a running threat he completed 5/7 passes for 75 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Holley averaged a little over 19 yards a return on punts (9/172) and 41 yards a return on kickoffs (10/411) with a long of 99.
"ULM is recruiting me a wide receiver but Coach Reffett said he wants to see some of my senior tapes on the defensive side of the ball", Holley told Warhawk Nation in a previous interview.
Figuring out where to play Holley might be a challenge but that will be a good thing for the Warhawks.
Below are highlights of the first four game of Holley's 2011 season.
