Nation meet ULM's Kolton Browning. The 6'2 Mabank, Texas product put on a show on National TV Saturday night in the Warhawks 34-31 upset win over the 8th ranked Arkansas Razorbacks.
The Warhawks torched the Hogs for 550 yards of offense, the majority of that coming from Browning who totaled 481(417 passing, 69 rushing) and four total touchdowns. The southpaw put the ball up 67 times completing 42 passes(63%).
Browning and the Warhawks put their stamp on the Sun Belt conference as the leagues first team to ever defeat a top 10 team. It was also ULM's first win over a ranked team since they joined the FBS and the 4th time they have defeated a SEC program. (Mississippi State, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas)
Following the game Browning was named ESPN's National Player of the Week.
Arkansas head coach John L. Smith told the Newstar.com what he thought of Browning's play after the game. “He made play after play after play after play after play. ... We couldn’t tackle him, we couldn’t stop him.”
