Cameron Sims added a new offer this month.
"Coach (John) Carr told me that Mississippi State offered," Sims said. "Their coaches have been hitting me up on Facebook and asking how my game went.
"I went to LSU/South Carolina on Saturday. The fans were crazy and ready for the game way before it started. I like how LSU's wide receivers block down the field. That's something I take pride in, too."
LSU and Alabama stand out for Sims, who specifically mentioned Florida State and Washington, as well.
"I have high interest in teams like Florida State and Washington that have a pass-first mentality on offense," he said. "LSU's coaches are real cool. LSU and Alabama could offer anytime during the season or shortly thereafter.
"I would be tempted to commit on the spot if LSU offered, but I would have to talk about it with my mom first. I like how Alabama pretty much contends for the national championship every year."
Ouachita is 5-2 with the pair of losses coming at the hands of 2011 Class 5A state champ West Monroe and 4A state champ Neville.
Sims had eight catches for 165 yards vs. West Monroe.
In week five, Ouachita breezed past small-school (2A) powerhouse Evangel Christian, 52-27.
Sims also reports offers from Washington, Southern Miss, ULM and Northwestern State.
