UNO's McCalebb Gives Louisiana-Monroe Bo Bo
UNO's Bo McCalebb

Despite the loss, Louisiana-Monroe will share the West Division title with Arkansas State. Predicted to finish last, the Warhawks proved the critics wrong and will host Denver this Wednesday night in Monroe.
Road games have not been kind to Louisiana-Monroe this season, and tonight was no different. ULM's road struggles continue as they dropped a 88-75 decision to
New Orleans
in both teams final regular season game. UNO's
Bo McCalebb
was a one man recking crew scorching the nets for 31pts, and grabbing a career high 15 rebounds.
Coming into the game there were a couple of scenarios that could have gone for or against ULM (17-13, 11-7). The warhawks destiny was in their own hands as a win would have clinched sole possession of the West Division title, and a first round bye in the Sunbelt tournament. The other scenario would have been for UARL to beat
Arkansas State
, giving ULM the #2 seed and a first round bye.
ASU would beat UARL 61-55, leaving ULM with the #4 seed and a share of the West Division title. A first round bye would have been nice, but it's not the end of the world. The Warhawks still own a share of the West title and will host
Denver
this Wednesday in Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
The Privateers, (13-16, 9-9) led ULM after one half of play, 44-39. A 6-0 run to start the second half would push the score to 50-39 in favor of UNO. The Warhawks wouldn't lay down and responded with a 13-1 run of their own to tie the game at 60.
With just under 5 minutes remaning, the Privateers stretched the lead back out to ten 78-68. From there the Warhawks went cold and ran out of gas falling to 2-7 on the road in conference play.
The good news is Warhawk fans will get to see their team at home one more time. A time has not been set yet for this week's game vs Denver, but you can expect a packed house cheering on the home team. It will the second meeting between the 2 teams in less than a week and the third this year. Last Thursday ULM defeated Denver 87-51 as 3,722 fans watch on Ace (ULM Mascot) bobble head night.
Tony Hooper
was the high scorer for ULM finishing with 24pts on 7/12 shooting.
Jonas Brown
finished with 16pts and
Jordan Payne
added 14. As a team the Warhawks shot 41 percent from the floor and 33 percent from three poing range. UNO shot an incredible 58 percent from the floor and 53 percent from 3 ball range. With 4:32 left in the first half, Bo McCalebb became UNO's all time leading scorer.
