The ULM Lady Warhawks traveled to Ruston Louisiana and defeated the Lady Techsters by a dominating score of 71-50. The two schools renewed their rivarly last year when ULM defeated LaTech in Fant-Ewing Coliseum 58-54.
The win over Louisiana Tech Tuesday night gives ULM their first back-to-back wins in the series since ULM won four straight from 1985-86.
The Warhawks were led by Shannon Lloyd's 13 point, 13 rebound double double performance. Sophomore guard Jessie Carrier led the ULM attack with 14 points. West Monroe product Lottie Moore(11 pts) and teammate Regena Jackson(10) also finished in double figures for the Lady Warhawks.
ULM held a slim 36-30 lead at the half before pouring in on in the second half and outscoring Tech 35-20. With the win ULM improves to 6-2 while LaTech falls to 4-4 on the season.
