Several On Official Visit To ULM

Michael Autwell Is A ULM Commit

The ULM Warhawks have a full house this weekend as they will host several in and out of state prospects holding offers while one has already committed to the Warhawks.

The ULM Warhawks are hosting several in and out of state prospects on official visits this weekend in hopes of adding to the eight commitments they have already secured.

Midlothian defensive end Michael Autwell(6'4 230) and ULM commit will be taking his official visit to the campus this weekend. Michael was one of the Warhawks first commit when he gave his verbal back in the summer. A versatile athlete who can play Defensive End or Linebacker he will bring size and speed to the ULM defense. Michael piled up the stats late in the season blocking punts, extra points, getting multiple sacks, and forcing several fumbles.

Catholic high 0-Line standout Adam Bertrand will also be in town for his official visit. Adam is holding offers from ULM and Louisiana Tech. Adam brings instant size to and offensive line at 6'4 320 pounds. This will be Bertrand's first visit to the campus of Louisiana-Monroe. Bertrand can play both the guard and tackles positions. "To me, I have no preference, they can move me around because I am comfortable playing both", said Adam.

Tucked away in Canton Texas is an outstanding TE/OL in Keavon Milton. The Eagles were recently ousted from the playoffs but still had a great season. Milton 6'5 240 is projected to play the TE position at the college level. As a Junior Milton made all state while lining up as a tackle. He has played tackle, tight end, and defensive end and runs the forty in 4.9. Currently Keavon is holding offers from ULM, the Missouri Tigers, and Kansas Jayhawks.

Rounding out the visits will be and outstanding linebacker by the name of DaCorris Ford. Ford plays for the Longview Lobo's in class 12-5A, one of the toughest districts in the state of Texas. Its is not hard to see what schools are seeing in DaCorris. He stands 6'2 205 and runs a legit 4.5 forty time. As a senior Ford tallied 97 tackles, 2 sacks, picked off two passes and took them both back to the house for six points. Teams like LaTech, SMU, and Mississippi State have also been in contact with DaCorris.

The ULM coaching staff is also entertaining a highly touted juco running back this weekend. With outstanding running back Calvin Dawson graduating, the Warhawks are looking for someone to share the load with sophomore to be Frank Goodin in the backfield. More details on this story to come.
