ULM Catcher Nick Maragas posted a 5 RBI afternoon and starting pitcher Jared Jennings was masterful going the distance in a 7-1 opening game win for the Warhawks (19-8, 11-2).
Jennings (3-2) went 9 innings, giving up one run on six hits. He struck out 6, walked one, and lowered his ERA from 4.14 to 3.47. Maragas more than doubled his RBI total for the year (4). Nick hit his second long ball of the season, a 3-Run shot in the bottom of the second that gave ULM a 3-0 lead.
