3 Warhawks Make Pre-Season All American

TE Zeek Zacharie

Its only April but several ULM Warhawks are already getting recognition going into the 2008 campaign. NationalChampions.net has released its pre-season All American teams and 3 Warhawks made the list.

Senior Tight End Travis "Zeek" Zacharie, Junior punter Scott Love and Junior defensive back Greg James all made NationalChamps.net preseason All American Honorable Mention List.

James finished 2007 second on the team with 77 tackles. He was tied for first with 5 interceptions, recorded 5 pass break ups, and 10 passes defended. Greg returned an interception in the Warhawks final game of the season against Louisiana-Lafayette, and returned it 60 yards for the score.

Scott Love is coming off a great sophomore season in which he lead the Sun Belt conference in punting with a 42.1 average. Love was also ranked 30th Nationally in total punting. He downed 23 punts inside the 20 yard line and had eleven punts of 50 yards or longer. Scott's longest punt of 2007 was 66 yards.

TE Zeek Zacharie is no stranger to awards list. The Senior has made the John Mackey(best TE) award list the past two seasons. As a Junior Zeek was second on the team with 36 catches for 437 yards and led the team with 6 touchdowns.
