The ULM Warhawks host the Troy Trojans this weekend with a chance to capture their first Sun Belt regular season title since joining the league.

ULM Baseball Controls Their Own Destiny

The ULM Warhawk baseball team welcomes the Troy Trojans to Warhawk Field this weekend for a crucial 3 game series.

To make things simple, if ULM sweeps the series against Troy, they are Conference Regular Season Champions! If not, they will leave it up to Troy and UNO to decide who will be Champions.

Here are the current Sunbelt Conference standings going into Friday night:

ULM has one weekend series left, which is with Troy this weekend, while Troy and UNO have two weekend series left. Troy will face South Alabama at Home and UNO will face ULL at Lafayette, LA on May 15-17. If the Warhawks do not sweep, there are many scenarios that could come into play for the Warhawks not to secure a 1st Place seed into the Sunbelt Conference Tournament.

This weekend also marks the 5th Annual Monroe Jaycees and The University of Louisiana at Monroe Rib Cook Off.

Here are some quick notes about the cook-off:

When: Saturday, May 10th @ 11:00 AM

Where: In the grass behind the visitors section football seating.

- Entrance is free!

- Sampler/Peoples Choice Tickets are being sold. $10 for 7 tickets to taste ribs and 1 vote for your favorite team.

- Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in two divisions. (Open and Restaurants)

- Overall winner will win a brand new custom made Grill!

- $1 raffle tickets will also be sold for a case prize.

The Monroe Jaycees and the Warhawk Athletic Department have joined together to make this event a success every year. The event is schedule to end at 3:30 PM on Saturday, allowing just enough time for everyone to come watch an exciting game of Baseball against the Troy Trojans, starting at 4:00 PM.
