Offensive Player of the Week
Frank Goodin (ULM, Jr., RB)
ULM junior running back Frank Goodin rushed for a career-high 163 yards on just 19 carries, 8.6 yards per carry, as the Warhawks churned up 304 yards on the ground in a 48-35 victory over FIU. Goodin scored three touchdowns for the second time this season to raise his season total to a career-best eight, which ranks 10th best in ULM history.
He also raised his career total to 17 tying him with Roosevelt Potts for seventh in ULM history. The Warhawks are now 2-0 in the Sun Belt for just the second time in school history and the Warhawks are off to the best start of their Division I-A era - ULM started 4-1 in 1993. He also had two catches for 20 yards. What made Goodin's yard total even more impressive was that he had one carry for no yards in the opening quarter.
Defensive Player of the Week
Theo Smith (ULM, Jr., LB)
ULM junior linebacker Theo Smith had a career night for the Warhawks finishing the game against FIU with 12 tackles (seven solo), a tackle for loss, a pass break up and the first interception of his career. The Warhawks defeated the Golden Panthers 48-35 behind Smith's solid effort to improve to 2-0 in the Sun Belt for just the second time in school history.
His interception came in the fourth quarter with the Warhawks leading by 13 and FIU driving into ULM territory.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Radi Jabour (ULM, So., K)
ULM sophomore place kicker Radi Jabour was a perfect 2-of-2 on field goal attempts and 6-for-6 on PAT attempts as the Warhawks defeated FIU 48-35 to move to 2-0 in the Sun Belt for just the second time in school history.
The Warhawks are off to the best start of their Division I-A era - ULM started 4-1 in 1993. Jabour connected on field goals of 34 and 48 yards - the 48-yarder tied his career long set last season. For the year, Jabour is have a Groza worth campaign having connected on 6-of-7 field goal attempts and all 21 of his extra-point attempts.
