The ULM Warhawks rode the arm of James Jones in a 15-3 victory over visiting Binghamton Friday night at Warhawk Field.
Jones (2-1) struck out 9 Binghamton batters and picked up his second win of the season. James has been a bright spot on the Warhawk staff that has struggled as a whole.
Offensively the Warhawks got big production from the 6-10 spots in the lineup. Perry Smith (3/4), Josh Chappell (3/4), Jarrett Hammond (2/5), and Shane Ardoin (2/2)were a combined 10/15 on the night with 8 RBI's and 8 runs scored.
It was a big win and boost for a Warhawk team that had lost six in a row before they belted 13 hits and walked another 7 times.
ULM will return to action tomorrow as they play a double header. First pitch is scheduled for 1PM.
